About the Artist:
Born and nurtured in the heart of Pennsylvania, John Keaton’s journey into the world of art began as a mere spark during his formative years. This spark soon ignited a passion that led him to the prestigious Philadelphia College of Art, where he immersed himself in the disciplines of painting and drawing. Not just confined to the canvas, as a young prodigy, John showcased his versatility by designing signs and advertising graphics for local establishments.
John’s commitment to his craft took him beyond borders. Serving in the U.S. Air Force, he was stationed in Germany, where he had the privilege of exploring Europe’s most iconic museums. This experience deepened his reverence for the Great Masters and enriched his artistic palette. Europe became his muse for eight transformative years, during which he wore many hats – from a tour guide to a photographer, and from an exhibitor of his artworks in Germany to the Art Director for Bellaphon Records in Frankfurt.
His relentless pursuit of knowledge and excellence saw him further his studies in Advertising and Graphic Design, and later, in Art and Design at the Tampa Technical Institute in Florida. John’s vast and varied portfolio includes designing book covers, candle holders, T-shirts, food packaging, and print ads. His crowning achievement was leading a team to conceive and execute grand murals for a luxurious property in Ranch Sante Fe, California.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design and a Masters in Fine Art under his belt, John Keaton stands tall in the international art and design arena. As we celebrate him as our Artist of the Week, we invite you to delve into the world of John Keaton, a true Renaissance man of 2023, whose artistry transcends mediums and whose legacy is etched in every stroke and design he creates.
