In this episode, Rich has a conversation with Jay Ellenby who is running for State Delegate in Maryland. Find out about Jay’s experience and what he would like to do if elected as State Delegate.

Jay’s Bio from his website:

“Jay’s passion for innovation and deep commitment to customer service make him a respected leader in the business community. This combined “high-tech, high-touch” approach has helped his company, Safe Harbors Business Travel located in Bel Air, Maryland, became a leader in full-service global travel management since 1985.

Exploring the world while in the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the aircraft carrier USS America working in Meteorology, Jay subsequently earned a BS in management and marketing from Widener University. He applied his technological skill and love of travel at Safe Harbors which he joined in 1990 and has served as president since.

Throughout his career, Jay served in many leadership roles including Chairman of the American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA), Former Chairman of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, previous Board member of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, and current Chairman of Visit Harford! He was also Chairman of the Commonwealth Business Travel Group (CBTG) and Maryland State Wrestling Association (MSWA/USA Wrestling) while serving on multiple advisory boards throughout the country.

Over the years, Jay received multiple awards and recognitions and recently received the Lifetime to Service Award from the State of Maryland as a wrestling coach. A long-time resident of Bel Air, Maryland, Jay enjoys coaching wrestling, running, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife Helen and two children Sean and Caitie who are both Bel Air High School graduates.”
