Megan is the author of Ride With the Assassin. The book is a historical fiction novel told from the perspective of a teenage witness to the Lincoln assassination. The plot revolves around Mark Harris, a young boy who unwittingly assists John Wilkes Booth in escaping from Ford’s Theater after he assassinates President Abraham Lincoln. He travels with Booth along Booth’s escape route for 12 exciting days. It is based on the story of a young boy who held the reins of Booth’s horse on April 14, 1865.
