Yvonne Golczewski replaces retiring Executive Director Karen Blandford

The Board of Directors at Habitat for Humanity Susquehanna has named Yvonne Golczewski to serve as the nonprofit’s new executive director.  Golczewski, who was the grants manager at Habitat Susquehanna, steps into her new role today, replacing Karen Blandford who is retiring after holding the position for more than nine years.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Habitat Susquehanna into its next chapter,” said Golczewski. “I am passionate about giving struggling low-income families in need of a decent, safe, affordable home stability, self-reliance, and new hope for a better life for themselves and their children. I look forward to making a positive difference for even more families in Harford and Cecil Counties.”

Golczewski holds an M.B.A. from Loyola University and has a background in nonprofit leadership, real estate, mortgage underwriting, banking/finance, sales/fundraising, and advocacy. Prior to her three-and-a-half years as grants manager, her involvement with Habitat Susquehanna was as a volunteer for the former grants manager.
