Harford County educators can submit essays seeking funding through May 30
A Harford County Educator Can Win $2,000 For Best Education Award Entry!
Freedom Federal Credit Union has announced its 2020 Annual Golden Apple Education Award competition with $4,000 in prizes, and open to all Harford County School employees (public or private). Entrants must be a new or existing Freedom member to apply.
The essay competition is designed to recognize a Freedom member who is a Harford County school employee. Freedom is looking for the idea with the greatest impact on local students, classes, schools, and the Harford County community.
Freedom Federal Credit Union is excited to add an additional $1,000 award to this year’s program! For the first time, Freedom will offer four Annual Educator Awards of $2,000, $1,000, $500 and $500 to Harford County Education Employees who may be a deserving teacher, school administrator or school support employee.
1. What is your creative idea to benefit your students, your class or your school? If you win this award, how will you make it happen using the funds from this award?
2. Will you take a continuing education class or classes to improve your own education and expertise (be specific) and how will that improve learning by your students, your school, or the community?
3. Will you purchase supplies for your students, classroom or school, and how will that help improve learning by your students?
4. Will your idea, training, or purchase affect the overall Harford County Community? If yes, how so?
Interested applicants may complete an entry form available online. Go to freedomfcu.org/golden-apple for the form. Completed entry forms must be submitted by the deadline date of May 30, 2020 to [email protected]. All entries will be reviewed by a panel of Freedom employees, volunteers and community partners. The winners will be announced by June 15, 2020.
