Dog of the Week- Tex
We like big mutts and we cannot lie! Tex is biiiiig boy, a “Shepweiler” according to his previous family. He’s about 3.5 year old and is great with kids. He’ll be their best friend and protector. He enjoys the company of older, calmer dogs but no cats please. Yuck!
He’s a cuddle bug and thinks he’s a lapdog. He loves playing fetch and tug-o-war and running in a yard. He’s learning to be on a leash more here at the shelter but is better with a harness. We’re slowly seeing more personality come out but he misses life in a home. If you also like big mutts, mosey on in to meet Tex!
Cat of the Week- Charlie
Charlie aka Chuck D is the opposite of a public enemy. He’s 10 now, so his days of bringing the noise are over- though he is still an incredible rhyme animal! He’s a mellow guy that enjoys hanging out with his hype man, Pisica (aka Flava Flav). They’re brothers of the same mind. When their owner died, and they ended up at the shelter. They’ve had limited interaction with children and an older dog. You should believe the hype and meet these boyz!
