Night of Fun Benefits Animals at the Humane Society of Harford County

The Humane Society of Harford County’s (HSHC) seventh annual Pup Crawl to raise funds and awareness for homeless animals returns this year on Saturday, June 8, 2024 in downtown Bel Air. All of the participating establishments are within walking distance and include Das Bierhalle, Looney’s Pub, MaGerk’s Pub, Main Street Tower, and Vagabond Sandwich Company. The Crawl is generously sponsored by Heather Schafer Adkins with the Adkins Letschin Home Group of Long & Foster.

“This event is more than just a pub crawl; it’s an important fundraiser to help offset the cost of surgeries, medications, vaccinations, and supplies for the thousands of animals we shelter annually,” said Bob Citrullo, executive director at HSHC. “It’s also a great way to spend a casual Friday evening with friends and family supporting local businesses.”

Tickets are $45 per person in advance and include a commemorative shot glass, courtesy of Carl’s Door Service; a drink at each pub; a beverage koozie sponsored by Heated 4 U; and a chance to win a door prize if the crawler’s credentials are stamped at every bar. If tickets do not sell out in advance, the price at the door is $55. Designated drivers and those who prefer unlimited water and soft drinks may purchase a Tag-Along ticket for $10 per person. Tickets are available now at HarfordShelter.org/PupCrawl.

Sign-in begins at 4:30pm at Looney’s Pub and crawlers are then free to fan out throughout the downtown area for a casual evening of good times. Crawlers are invited back to Looney’s Pub at 9:00pm for a final reception to share one last drink together, toast sponsors, and announce door prize winners.

All guests must be 21 years of age to participate, and while we love our furry friends, pets must stay at home.

Sponsorships are still available and more information can be found at HarfordShelter.org/PupCrawl. Other participating sponsors include Joan Ryder & Associates Real Estate, Route 24 Ale House, Animal Emergency Hospital, Nick & Nicole Bengel, Best Friends FurEver, Dogtopia, John Drexler, Your Pet AuPair, and TeamLogic IT.
