Congratulations Harford County Toys For Tots
Sponsored by Freedom Federal Credit Union
About the Nonprofit:
Harford County Toys for Tots, a beacon of hope in our community, operates under the dedicated sponsorship of the Marine Corps League – Cpl Pete Arnold Detachment 1198. This esteemed program, led by a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and Life Member of the Marine Corps League, embodies the spirit of service and brotherhood inherent in the motto “Once a Marine, Always a Marine.”
Our mission is simple yet profound: to collect new, unwrapped toys during the festive months of October, November, and December, and to distribute these symbols of joy as Christmas gifts to the less fortunate children of Harford County. It is more than a gift; it is a message of hope that encourages our youth to grow into responsible, productive, and patriotic citizens.
The success of Harford County Toys for Tots is a testament to the power of community. It thrives on the support of Marine Corps League members and the unwavering dedication of civilian volunteers, many of whom have lent their hearts and hands to the cause for numerous years. Every toy and monetary donation sourced from our generous community members stays right here in Harford County, ensuring that our local children experience the magic of the holiday season.
Our program is a true community effort, bolstered by local toy drop sites, events, corporate partners, and volunteers—all coming together to make a difference. We are proud to operate under the direction and guidance of the Marine Toys For Tots Foundation and the United States Marine Corps Reserve, ensuring that our activities and outreach align with national standards of excellence and compassion.
Our Core Values:
- Community Unity: We believe in bringing together all members of our community for a common cause, fostering a spirit of generosity and collective action.
- Childhood Development: Our activities are designed not just to provide gifts but to contribute positively to the development of our nation’s most valuable resource—our children.
- Hope and Patriotism: Through the simple act of giving, we aim to instill hope and nurture a sense of patriotism in the young hearts we reach.
Our Year-Round Commitment:
While the holiday season is our peak period of activity, our efforts extend throughout the year. We engage in a variety of events, from golf tournaments to races, all designed to raise awareness, interest, and the necessary funds to support our mission.
