Veteran-Focused Initiatives Announced

The Harford County Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee hosted the 12th annual Spirit of Thanks event at Hopkins Farm Brewery on October 3rd. This annual event celebrates our military men and women and their families with an evening of camaraderie. The event also featured remarks from Harford County Executive, Bob Cassilly and Aberdeen Proving Ground Commanding General, Major General Edmonson.

Thank you to all of our event sponsors: Bravura Information Technology Systems, Harford County Office of Economic Development, Army Alliance, MGHarry Greene Aberdeen AUSA Chapter, Freedom Federal Credit Union, SURVICE Engineering, First Command, Harford Roofing Services, JP Morgan, APG Federal Credit Union, Battelle Eastern Science & Technology, Emerald Technical Solutions, Whisman Giordano, and

The Harford County Chamber of Commerce announced the return of two veteran-focused initiatives: Operation Green Light, a national initiative to highlight veteran resources in the community, and Pinwheels for Patriots, a Harford Chamber initiative to honor and give back to our service members. Active duty and veteran service members in attendance were honored with a complimentary pinwheel at the event.

Please join the Chamber in honoring our military service members this Veterans’ Day.
For a $25 donation, community members will receive a green light bulb to participate in Operation Green Light and a pinwheel with a recognition tag to honor a service member. A portion of all proceeds generated will be donated to support the veterans of Perry Point VA Medical Center. Learn more about this initiative here.
