WHFC 91.1 FM, Harford Community College Radio, invites listeners to become members during its Giving Campaign and Membership Drive September 18 through September 24. The station holds two drives a year to raise the resources that will keep fueling students’ creative expressions through radio and podcasting.
“Your financial support helps students gain real-world experience in broadcasting that is available right here in their backyard at Harford Community College,” says Station Coordinator Terry Trouyet.
WHFC is asking for your help to keep the music, content, and Student Learning Lab going. This is the 40th anniversary of WHFC being on the FM dial, and right now it is growing into a creative space much larger than a radio station. Anyone who is interested in learning radio, podcasting, audio production and more can come to WHFC for training.
Your generosity will help Harford students of all ages entertain you every week. It also provides them a safe place to practice this craft. Tune in to 91.1 WHFC and be ready to pledge your support during the week of September 18-24. You’ll be amazed at how much can be accomplished with your help!
One-time or sustaining membership donations can be made at WHFC911.org or by mailing a check to WHFC, 401 Thomas Run Road, Bel Air, MD 21015.
You can hear some of the WHFC staff discuss it on Conversations with Rich Bennett below.
