Fantasy author A.Y. Johlin is a young adult author and her first book is The Girl Who Wasn’t Chosen. In a nutshell, her stories center on young protagonists who go on exciting journeys. For some reason, she never outgrew fantasizing about slaying pirates and soaring on dragons.

If A.Y. isn’t writing, she’s probably reading. Her all-time favorite books are those written by Rick Riordan and Celeste Ng (she has a broad variety of tastes, she acknowledges!). For television, A.Y. is a die-hard follower of both Umbrella Academy and High School Musical: The Series.
