Harford Celebrates Park & Recreation Month with Free Activities in July

Harford County has teed up free activities in July to celebrate national Park & Recreation Month.  

A calendar posted on the county website shows a different activity for each day. Some activities are always free, like disc golf at the Scarboro Hills course in Street, others are free on a certain day. They include family soccer at Forest Hill/Hickory Activity Center on July 12 and a youth pickleball clinic at Edgewood Rec & Community Center on July 22.

On other days, the county’s new rec mobile will bring fun and fitness programs to community centers, including at Aberdeen Activity Center on July 8, Mariner Point Park in Joppa on July 13, and Edgewood Rec & Community Center on July 20.

“Harford County has nearly 100 parks and activity centers spread throughout the county,” County Executive Barry Glassman said. “Parks & Recreation Month is a perfect opportunity to enjoy old favorites and discover something new.”
