Harford Community College’s Office of Communications Wins 13 Medallion Awards

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR), District 1, recently awarded 2021 Medallion Awards to Harford Community College’s Office of Communications.  The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design, marketing, and communication at community and technical colleges.

Award winners were announced at the NCMPR District 1 Conference that was recently held in Long Branch, New Jersey. Harford team members who were recognized for excellence in their creative work included Justin Bendis, Manager for Creative Services; Cynthia Courtney, Assistant Director for Marketing; Leslie Dearth, Graphic Designer; and Mary Pardew, Graphic Designer.

Harford’s Communications team received 13 Medallion Awards. Gold was awarded in the categorizes of Brochure (single or series), Radio Advertisement (single or series), Digital Ad (single or series) and Outdoor Media (single or series); Silver was awarded in the categorizes of Postcard (single or series), Website Design, Digital Ad (single or series) category, Outdoor Media (single or series), and Successful Recruitment or Marketing Plan; and Bronze was awarded in the categorizes of Academic Catalog or Class Schedule, and Logo Design.

Many of the winning designs will now move on to NCMPR’s national Paragon Award competition.
