Bicyclists from around the Baltimore region are invited to take part in the 24th annual Bike to Work Week celebration May 17 – 23, 2021.

Organized by the Baltimore Metropolitan Council and its member jurisdictions, Bike to Work Week encourages commuting by bike as a healthy and environmentally-friendly way to get to work. Registration is open until May 22 at www.biketoworkmd.com.

Registered participants can ride any time during the week and can pick up their free Bike to Work T-shirt and gift bag during or after the week at Harford County’s “pit stop” sponsors, Bike Doctor Bel Air or Civic Cyclery.

This year’s event includes a random drawing for biking gear and other prizes, including the grand prize of a new bike.

Participants are invited to share their photos with #B2WW2021 and #Ready2Ride!

“Bike to Work Week is virtual again this year,” County Executive Barry Glassman said, “but it’s still a great reminder that biking to work is good for you and good for our environment.”

Bike to Work Week’s regional sponsors are Harford County government, Harford County Public Library, Harford Transit LINK, and Harford Commute Smart; local sponsors are Freedom Federal Credit Union, and pit stop sponsors are Bike Doctor Bel Air and Civic Cyclery.
