Countdown to the return of the Havre de Grace Jazz & Blues Fest

The Havre de Grace (HdG) Arts Collective will present the Havre de Grace Jazz & Blues Fest on June 4-5, 2021 sponsored by Visit Harford.  Two days of live music and more at the top of the Chesapeake. The City-wide music festival, which kicks off with First Friday on June 4th, will present outstanding jazz and blues performances at multiple venues in the HdG Arts & Entertainment District, including two outdoor fully-tented sites: scenic Concord Point Park Headliners Stage for ticketed seated concerts; as well as the Integrity Real Estate ‘Locals’ Stage on Pennington in the heart of downtown Havre de Grace for free 50-minute shows.  The Art deco renovated State Theater of Havre de Grace also presents ticketed concerts.   All venues will adhere to local Covid regulations and procedures.

The festival lineup at the Concord Point Park Headliners Stage includes Vanessa Collier, an award winning 26-year old rising star of the Blues who has already acquired 3 Blues Music Award Nominations (BMAs) and won Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year (2018), Horn Player of the Year (2018 and 2017) and more; Allan Harris, an internationally touring ‘Nat King Cole’-esque Jazz singer; the legendary blues group The Nighthawks; and a Maryland Rising Stars show featuring Jazz singer Irene Jalenti and Jazz trumpeter and saxophonist Clarence Ward, III.  A beer & Wine Garden and food trucks will also be on site.

The Integrity Real Estate ‘Locals’ Stage on Pennington (tented for band and standing audience) with free 50-minute shows will feature Harford County resident Ronny Smith (smooth jazz), The Eubie presents Brandon Woody’s UPENDO (Jazz), Original Chesapeake Bayou Brothers (Cajun), Jocelyn Christian Blues Band, and Roberto Villedo Quartet (Latin Jazz).

The newly renovated State Theater of Havre de Grace shows include Bond & Bentley (Blues Rock), The Usual Suspects with Saxl Rose and Noah Pierre (Jazz), and Rene Ibanez & the Cubano Groove (Latin Jazz).

In addition to Visit Harford, other festival sponsors and partners include the City of Havre de Grace, Integrity Real Estate, The Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, Guitar Restorations, Inc., VirtuallyNat – Web/Social Media Digital Agency, Hero Masks, LLC, and Harford Community College.
