APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) employees are saying thank you to individuals in their community with $25 gift cards through APGFCU’s annual Pay-it-Forward Campaign in conjunction with International Credit Union Day, which is Thursday, October 17.
Embracing the credit union philosophy of people helping people, APGFCU employees, and board members will pay it forward throughout October by giving a $25 APGFCU Visa gift card to an individual of their choice in the community. The Pay-it-Forward campaign empowers staff to recognize those in the community who have gone above and beyond, provided exceptional service, or demonstrated a financial need.
“We had no idea the impact a $25 gift card could have on an individual,” stated Michelle Krecz, assistant vice president of marketing. “But the stories the staff share with us compel us to keep the tradition going. We’ve heard how it has helped put dinner on the table or gas in a car for someone to get to work. It’s been extremely rewarding, and we love being able to continue this as part of our International Credit Union Day celebration.”
This is the third time APGFCU has run the Pay-it-Forward campaign. Employees are encouraged to share stories from their interactions.
APGFCU’s Pay-it-Forward campaign helps spread the credit union philosophy of people helping people and creates an awareness of the credit union movement and APGFCU’s mission of assisting members of the community to achieve, prosper and grow.
APGFCU is celebrating International Credit Union Day all month long with a special celebration at each branch, Oct. 14 – Oct. 19, 2019. Members are invited to stop by for a free gift and a treat to show their appreciation.
