[Bel Air, MD] August 4, 2015The Harford Land Trust (HLT), an organization that helps protect farms, forests and community parks in Harford County, will host its fourth annual Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction on October 10, 2015 at Water’s Edge Events Center in Belcamp, Maryland. Funds raised will be used to further the mission of the HLT and aid in the perpetuity of Harford County’s diverse and productive landscapes for future generations to enjoy.

“The annual event brings together community members who love the land and natural resources of Harford County,” says Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction Chair Ann Helton. “We all are enthusiastically behind the record of achievement of the Harford Land Trust, now in its 27 year. This organization is something to celebrate!”

The Harvest Moon Dinner and Auction will begin at 6:00 p.m. with a cocktail hour, music, silent auction and end with a live auction presented by Harford County native and award-winning auctioneer Lynne Zink. Donations of goods and services for the evening’s auctions are still being accepted. “Not only does this event raise funds to support the work of the HLT, it is known for its outstanding live and silent auction items. We have the best selection of vacations, outdoor equipment, local art work and professional services,” says Helton. Items already secured for the silent and live auctions include landscape design services, club-level Ravens tickets, hand-crafted furniture, unique paintings, a Moroccan feast and more.

This year, the HLT has selected Dr. Dennis Kirkwood, past HLT board vice president and secretary and long-time Harford County educator, to serve as honorary chair of the event. According Helton, Dr. Kirkwood, a long-time supporter of the HLT and nature enthusiast, truly embodies the organization’s mission.
