In-store giving campaign to provide funds to Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County

 

Bel Air, MD (Feb. 9, 2015) – Every year, over 5,000 young people are served by Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County. To celebrate these extraordinary efforts, the Ross Store of the Bel Air Plaza Shopping Center at 527 Baltimore Pike (NYSE: FDO) announced that it is partnering with Boys & Girls Clubs with a four-week program called, “Open the Door to Great Futures.” Beginning this past Sunday on Feb. 8, Ross customers in Harford County can make a monetary contribution at checkout to be donated to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County through the end of February.

 

“Ross is committed to supporting the youth in the communities we serve,” said Gary Cribb, executive vice president, Stores and Loss Prevention for Ross Stores, Inc. “In the month of February, we invite our customers to join us in donating to the Power Hour program to help youth develop the study skills they need to excel in their studies and beyond.” Tim Wills, Executive Director and Chief Kid Officer of Boys & Girls Clubs of Harford County, stated, “Now that we are officially celebrating our 25th anniversary in Harford County, we are very excited to participate in the Ross Register Campaign for the very first time. We are already overjoyed by the enthusiasm of the local Bel Air store stores, for whom the giving spirit is clearly alive and well.”

  • 100% of proceeds raised at each store will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs
  • Every $3 donation helps provide one hour of homework help for a Club youth
  • $15 helps keep a kid safe after school today
