The Bel Air Independence Day Committee, the all-volunteer entity that manages all the July 4 activities in the Town of Bel Air, announces that for 2025, the Jones Junction Auto Dealership Group has renewed its Premier Sponsorship of Bel Air Independence Day Celebration, whose theme for 2025 is “Be a Volunteer — Help Your Community.”
According to David B. Williams, President of the Bel Air Independence Day Committee, “We are extremely pleased to have Jones Junction back again this year as our Premier Sponsor, and their donation makes them the power behind the fireworks, the parade, and all the activities this year! Jones has a history of generous giving to the Bel Air community, and we welcome this commitment from them,” Williams adds.
“We believe in our community, and salute all the volunteers in all their fields who have been so important to the health and well-being of our community,” says Bryan Kilby, Co-Owner of Jones Junction. “Our support of the Bel Air July 4 activities is a big part of how we give back to all the people who help us make our dealerships strong,” Kilby adds.
Michael Blum, Vice President of the Bel Air Independence Day Committee, agrees. “We are very pleased and happy to be bringing the events, parade and fireworks back to Bel Air again this year. We cannot produce the event without the generous support of local businesses, and Jones Junction leads the way,” Blum states.
Jones Junction last year is now in its 107th consecutive year as a family-run automotive business serving Harford County and the surrounding area. Since its founding by patriarch C. M. Jones, the Jones family has serving its community with superior customer service, now from its 40-acre location on Belair Road. The business comprises ten new car dealerships, a PreOwned Superstore and a Collision Center.
Owners Larry Jones, Danny Jones and Bryan Kilby carry on their parents’ philosophies and dedication to hard work and integrity.
The Bel Air Independence Day Committee solicits tax-deductible contributions from businesses and individuals to make it possible to offer the full day’s roster of events on July 4, 2025, beginning with the Flag Ceremony at Bel Air Town Hall at 6:45 am, and ending with the traditional parade down Main Street at 6 pm and fireworks over Rockfield Park at about 9:30 pm.
The theme of this year’s parade, as well as of all the events on July 4, is “Be a Volunteer — Help Your Community.”
Other 4 July events include many family-friendly competitions in the morning and early afternoon, including Horseshoe Toss Competition, Water-Balloon Toss, Bocce, Watermelon Eating, Uncle Sam Says and a Bicycle Rodeo.
A complete schedule of July 4 events may be found on the Committee’s web site at http://belairjuly4.org.
Complimentary programs with maps, schedules and more information will be distributed free of charge at many Bel Air-area businesses, beginning on or about June 23.
