On the Move with We Cancerve, the children’s television show created by Harford County’s Zachary Gwiazda, 16, and Grace Callwood, 20, was named winner of three 2025 Telly Awards this week. The show, currently in its second season, is produced in partnership with HarfordTV.
The Telly Awards, the world’s largest honor for video and television across all screens, annually recognizes excellence among more than 13,000 entries globally from six continents and all 50 states. Winners represent some of the most respected names in advertising, television, production, and publishing worldwide.
On the Move with We Cancerve‘s wins highlight the impactful and high-quality content produced by the youth-driven nonprofit. The We Cancerve Movement, Inc., founded in 2012, has brought happiness to more than 33,000 children around the globe through its various efforts.
The Spring 2024 episode of the edutainment show won a Silver Telly in the Social Impact category, and Bronze Telly in both the Advocacy & Causes, and Social Responsibility categories. This is We Cancerve’s first time receiving Telly honors since creating the show in 2023.
The episode, hosted by Gwiazda, who chairs the nonprofit’s all-youth board of advisors, features a nutrition-based service project with Celebrity Chef Stacia Epps and tour at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore; a spotlight on a social entrepreneurship lecture at Lynn University in Boca Raton and service project at Southeast Florida’s largest foster care organization; and a food security project in the nation’s capital led by Callwood, founder of We Cancerve. She’s a 2023 Edgewood High School graduate and rising Howard University junior. The episode includes her fellow scholars of the Humanities & Social Sciences Scholars Program and the Karsh STEM Scholars Program.

“We are incredibly proud of On the Move with We Cancerve and the recognition it has received from the Telly Awards,” said Zachary Gwiazda. “These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, and they truly validate our mission to inspire and entertain young viewers while making a positive difference in the world.”
The show airs on HarfordTV on Fridays at 7:00pm. HarfordTV can be viewed on Armstrong channel 7 and HD 101, Comcast channel 21 and HD 1084, and Verizon channel 31. It will also be available HarfordTV’s video on demand page at https://hcn.viebit.com.
“We are incredibly grateful for the leadership team at HarfordTV and their unwavering support of the talented group of youth who make up the bulk of the show,” said T’Jae Ellis, who serves as an executive director for the show. “The success of this show is, in large part, due to the investment adults have made in today’s young people. HarfordTV harnesses the ideas and ingenuity of our youth production and talent team, and mentors and draws out the best these youth have to offer. The partnership, built on mutual respect, is the difference maker; it’s the true winner here!”
