Harford Community College Holds Medical Assisting Completion Ceremony

Harford Community College held a Completion Ceremony for graduates of the 2025 Medical Assisting Program on May 21 in Darlington Hall. Eight students completed 160 hours of training in physicians’ offices across Harford County after completing coursework for their Medical Assisting Certification and Associate of Applied Science degrees.

Dean of Nursing and Allied Health Professions Ashley Meisel, DNP, RN, welcomed the graduates and their guests to the event. Brittany Arkins, MA, CMA, and Program Director for Medical Assisting, presented pins to the graduates.

Spring 2025 graduates included Nicole Baker, Amanda Dodson, Emma Geppi, Isabella Hahn, Emilee Mccubbin, Vincent Nguyen, Brooke Santiago, and Rachel Scheidt.

Arkins stated, “The spring 2025 cohort of Medical Assisting graduates have demonstrated exceptional qualities throughout their journey while laughing and learning. Balancing personal responsibilities with academic demands, they have successfully completed their training, including rigorous coursework and a 160-hour practicum. Their hard work has prepared them to deliver high-quality care, and they are now ready to make a meaningful impact in healthcare facilities throughout Harford County as they step into their professional roles.”
