May is Mental Health Awareness Month
Returning for a fourth year, the Harford County Local Behavioral Health Authority, the Klein Family Center, and Harford County Public Schools will host Your Mind Matters: A Family Wellness Night. Over the past three years, this event has been so well-received by families and children, it exceeded attendance goals and maxed out registration capacity in 2024. The purpose of the event is to provide activities and entertainment for the entire family in a fun and relaxing environment, and to promote mental health and wellness in the month of May, Mental Health Awareness Month.
Every year, one in five people will experience a mental health need. The goal of the Office on Mental Health and Your Mind Matters: A Family Wellness Night is to raise awareness about mental health and educate our community about resources, such as our local helpline, 1-800-NEXT-STEP.
