Harford County Executive Bob Cassilly has proposed a 1 ½% cost of living increase for all eligible county employees beginning at the end of December, including county government, sheriff’s office, state’s attorney’s office, and judicial branch employees, subject to approval by the Harford County Council. The increase is in addition to the 1 ½% COLA county employees received in July.
The July increase was included in County Executive Cassilly’s FY 23 budget, with another 1 ½% in January conditioned on economic factors.
“Although economic concerns remain, accurate revenue forecasting and good stewardship of taxpayer funds have allowed us to move forward with a prudent increase for our hardworking employees,” County Executive Cassilly said. “I would like to thank our dedicated workforce for making our success possible.”
