About the Artist:
Leo Kahl was inspired by his older cousins’ artistic creations to pursue an education in both visual art and engineering. He spent four decades using his design and technical skills to create commercial and industrial products for various companies, while also creating acrylic and oil paintings depicting his family and friends. At age 55, he discovered his love for watercolor and its ability to simulate the effects of light. He extensively studied watercolor and now strives to capture the mood and ambiance of his subjects, always including elements of mystery, story, and romance in his work.
