Join the Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Memorial Fund Committee in honoring Harford County’s only native Medal of Honor recipient on Tuesday, May 23rd at the Maryland Golf & Country Clubs.

The fundraiser will feature a cocktail hour with cash bar, plated dinner, guest speaker, musical entertainment, historical elements, and a live auction.

All funds raised from this event will go towards the Annual Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Scholarship, which is awarded through Harford Community College as well as the Harford County United States Colored Troops (USCT) Grave Preservation Project and to educate the public about Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton.

“The Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Memorial Scholarship was created in 2022. Since then, four one-thousand-dollar scholarships have been awarded to deserving Harford Community College students. This fundraiser will help us sustain and expand our scholarships and continue to educate our community,” said Curtis L. Beulah, Chairperson of the Sgt. Alfred B. Hilton Memorial Fund Committee. “In addition to providing education and scholarships, our committee is working diligently to locate and appropriately mark the final resting places of USCT in Harford County. Thus far, over ninety soldiers with Harford County connections have been identified.”
