The Chesapeake Gallery at Harford Community College will host a new exhibit titled “A Sense of Place” by Pittsburgh-based artist Lauren Scavo-Fulk from March 9 to April 10, 2023. An exhibition of small-scale, charcoal landscape drawings dealing with phenomenology, a branch of philosophy concerned with the description and understanding of experiences as they are filtered through the senses, will fill the gallery.

All are invited to the opening reception with an artist talk to be held on Thursday, March 9, 3:30-5 PM in the Chesapeake Gallery.

The Chesapeake Gallery is located on the second floor of the Student Center building on Harford Community College’s campus at 401 Thomas Run Road in Bel Air. Parking is free and handicap parking is available close to the gallery. Gallery hours are Mondays and Thursdays, 8:30 AM – 7 PM; Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 8:30 AM – 5 PM; and Fridays, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM. The gallery is closed on weekends and major holidays.

The College’s Chesapeake Gallery features contemporary art by emerging and established artists, as well as Harford’s faculty, staff, and students. It serves as a vital educational link between the community and the practice of art and design in the region. View the current Chesapeake Gallery exhibit at https://www.chesapeakegallery.org/.
