Listen on GoodpodsAppleSpotify, and other platforms.

With over 100 referrals for foster care each month and only a handful of foster families, the Arc Northern Chesapeake Region strives to provide consistency and stability for kids who have faced trauma.

“Our goal is to get the kids out of our program and back with their birth families, if possible.”

Steve Acerno is the Director of Treatment Foster Care at The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region. Steve has over twenty years of experience in working within the foster care system. Steve is passionate about advocating for youth in foster care and is privileged to be part of the Arc NCR family. His team of dedicated staff work closely with the youth and foster families to build relationships and work toward permanency for all the children.
