Harford Community College’s Office of Communications Wins 8 Medallion Awards

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR), District 1, recently awarded 2022 Medallion Awards to Harford Community College’s Office of Communications. The NCMPR Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in design, marketing, and communication at community and technical colleges.

Award winners were announced at the NCMPR District 1 Conference that was recently held in Syracuse, New York. Harford team members who were recognized for excellence in their creative work included Justin Bendis, Manager for Creative Services; Cynthia Courtney, Assistant Director for Marketing; and Mary Pardew, Graphic Designer.

Harford’s Communications team received a total of eight Medallion Awards – two gold awards, four silver awards and two bronze awards. Gold was awarded in the Annual Report category for the Harford Community College Foundation’s annual report, and the Flyer (single or series) category for the workforce training flyer series. Silver was awarded in the categories of Interior Signage/Displays (single or series) for Harford’s Leading Edge Training Center graphics; Notes/Cards/Invitations (single or series) for Harford’s open house invitation; Digital Advertisement (single or series) for the “Value of Harford” ad; and Outdoor Media (single or series) for signage on transit buses. Bronze was awarded in the categories of Print Advertisement (single or series) for a “congratulations” newspaper ad, and Print (Wildcard) for the College’s acceptance package.
