The Rockfield Manor Foundation hosted its 16th Annual Harford County Wine Festival on Saturday, September 24, at Rockfield Manor. This year’s sold-out event raised over $125,000 to support and fund the beautification, and upkeep of the Rockfield Manor estate; a community enrichment venue for all to enjoy. The Foundation also funds The Rockfield Foundation Trade Recipient Scholarships held at Harford Community College, and supports the Town of Bel Air Explorers’ Program, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Department, Toys for Tots of Harford County and many other non -profit organizations within our county.
The Harford County Wine Festival is the main fundraiser for the Foundation each year, hosting over 3,000 participants from in and around Maryland.
The success of the Annual Harford County Wine Festival relies heavily on the support from local businesses, sponsors and volunteers. According to Kellee Kalthof, Executive Director of Rockfield Foundation, “We love hosting this signature event each year. It brings us great joy to provide a special day where people from all over our county and beyond come together to enjoy our beautiful grounds, the manor and of course wine and music. But we could not do this without the generosity of our sponsors. We are so very grateful for everything they do.”
The wine festival is also a huge success for the many vendors that display each year.
Deborah Jorgenson of The Chef’s Duds Duo proclaims, “I had such a GREAT time! It was awesome and the music was fabulous. Every year you find the perfect bands.
I cannot wait for 2023. It is marked on the calendar and ready to rock and roll!
Thank you again for putting together the best wine festival. I vendor at least 4 or 5 wine fests every year (Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Delaware) but yours, by far, outshines the rest! Take care and see you in 51 more weeks.”
The Rockfield Foundation is planning a large capital project that will be added to the Rockfield Manor estate in 2025.
