New Board Chairperson Tammy Ehrbaker

At the June 6, 2022 meeting of the Maryland Board of Cosmetologists, Tammy Ehrbaker, cosmetologist member, was elected as the new chairperson of the Board of Cosmetologists. She replaces the previous chairperson Danielle Anderson, consumer member, who retired from from her position on the board at the May 2, 2022 meeting.

Tammy Ehrbaker has been in the beauty industry for 30 years. She has led her team to be honored as a Salon Today Magazine “Top 200 Salon in the Country” for almost 10 years and to be recognized the United States Chamber of Commerce as a “Top 100 Small Business” in the country. Her salon was honored to be the Official Salon of the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders and she was sent to Jamaica with her team to style hair for their calendar shoot. Her travels have also taken her and her team to style hair for New York Fashion Week.

She was named one of Harford Counties “Most Beautiful People” for the service work of her and her staff in the community. These are just a few highlights of her awards and accolades in the beauty industry.

She has led her team to be environmentally and socially conscious. Her salon was the first and only salon named an official “green” salon by the Maryland Green Registry. Tammy was appointed to the Maryland Board of Cosmetology in 2019 and is very excited to be the new chairperson for the board. In her free time she loves to foster kittens and puppies and has saved hundreds of furry pet lives. She has sat on the board for The Harford County Humane Society as well as fighting homelessness in Harford County as a previous board member for Harford Family House.  Her biggest accomplishment would be her 2 children Jake and Jordan.
