A Conversation with Harford County Health Department’s Minority Health Program

Improving Minority Health in Harford County

Listen on AppleSpotify, and other platforms.

Harford County Living presents Conversations with Rich Bennett, coming to you from the Freedom Federal Credit Union studios.

On this episode, Rich is joined by people of Harford County Health Department’s Minority Health Program.

The health department just employed two community health outreach workers to boost the health of Harford County’s minority population! They were tasked with reaching out to our susceptible group that was resistant to vaccination, providing resources and information to individuals who sought it, and assisting with appointment scheduling. In addition, they have formed a partnership with a select group of Harford County officials, churches, and dignitaries, with whom they communicate on a regular basis to inform them of the community’s progress. In addition, they have developed a program to address health disparities and public health concerns within the black and brown communities.
