The Town of Bel Air Department of Public Works installed the 25th barn quilt in Harford County on the barn at Rockfield Manor. Harford County has a growing collection of barn quilts displayed throughout the County. These large wooden board art displays are painted in classic quilt designs and are part of a visitation trail.
“We have talked about this project for a few years, we could not be happier that Rockfield Manor is now included in the Harford County Barn Quilt Trail.” Executive Director Kellee Kalthof shared Tuesday morning.
The Rockfield Barn quilt is inspired by a vintage design and painted by county resident, Joan Hayden. Hayden has led the Barn Quilt in Harford initiative to promote Agri-tourism.
