Harford Community College’s radio station WHFC 91.1 FM and the Office of Communications recently announced the launch of “HCC 360,” a new talk show highlighting the variety of important and interesting offerings at the College. Tune in to WHFC 91.1 FM on Monday, February 7 at 6:30 PM for a discussion about Harford’s General Studies program. Instead of choosing a specific major at HCC, students have the option of taking part in the General Studies program. Dr. Tony Wohlers, Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences, and Elaine Gisriel, Student Development Specialist, will join HCC 360 to discuss this flexible and wide-ranging course of study, as well as the options it provides for transfer to a four-year college or university.

The on-air collaboration showcases the many noteworthy happenings at Harford Community College. From workforce training, forensics classes, and a new biotech program to summer camps and cultural arts performances, “HCC 360” reflects that there’s something for everyone at Harford. Students of WHFC’s Radio Learning Lab prepare and conduct the interviews and produce the series.

The first episode of “HCC 360” featured Harford’s Director of Strategic Partnerships Dr. Austin Hill as he discussed the Leading Edge Training Center Powered by the Ratcliffe Foundation. In December, “HCC 360” dove into the Criminal Justice program at the College and Discovery Courses in forensics offered in local high schools with Dean of Behavioral and Social Sciences Dr. Tony Wohlers, Assistant Professor Jon Carpenter, and Adjunct Professor Jessica Orchowitz. Kelly Pulaski, Coordinator for Youth Programs at HCC, stopped by “HCC 360” in January to discuss Camp Curiosity. With dozens of full- and half-day programs, Camp Curiosity provides a safe and fun summer learning experience for kids in K-12. Visit this link to hear previous episodes.

“HCC 360” airs monthly on first Mondays at 6:30 p.m. on WHFC 91.1 FM and is available as a podcast.
