Harford Cable Network is now HarfordTV

Harford Cable Network, Harford County’s PEG (public access, education and government) channel, is now HarfordTV. Their rebranding includes a new logo and website, www.HarfordTV.org.

The name change is part of HarfordTV’s strategic plan, focusing on their delivery of local content on-air, online and on-demand. “Our name has served us well the last 28 years, but we have grown tremendously since then and now provide our programming on more than just cable. We needed a name that better represented our digital media content
moving forward,” said Kelly Jara, HarfordTV’s executive director.

Their new website, www.HarfordTV.org, connects visitors to local content that matters on VOD, YouTube and Facebook. In addition, it features an events calendar that now accepts for-profit events, a live stream of their on-air channel, and links to community partners.

“Our website was designed to quickly connect visitors to both our programming and community information,” Jara said.

The Harford Cable Network Foundation, which charitably supports the efforts of HarfordTV, has also changed its name to the HarfordTV Foundation. Visit www.harfordtvfoundation.org for more information.

  1. HELLO I am Kim admin for Events at Harford Community College. I understand you recorded and are airing our event The Nutcracker performance at Amoss Center on Fridays until a date in January. I have been unable to find it as we have sent this out to our campus for all to enjoy. I am hoping you can confirm any updated information on this and the channels for our local cable stations. Hoping you can help.
