Dog of the Week – TATER TOT
Age: 1 year
Color: Brindle & White
Breed: Mixed Breed
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $0 (thru 9/19 at 4pm)
How do you like your tots? Covered in cheese and bacon? Yes, please. Covered in pulled pork and slaw? Oooohh, just the thought of it and I’m drooling! Hi, I’m Tater Tot and just like my namesake, I’m totally irresistible. I love meeting new friends and getting them to play ball with me. Speaking of ball, football season is right around the corner. Just imagine the games we could catch together! College or pro, it doesn’t matter to me. As long as it’s with you. When I’m not admiring your every move, I’d love to go on walks and show off my smooth moves. I know sit, down and give paw. If you’re in search of a lifelong friend, email [email protected] to make your appointment to come in and meet me: Tator Tot.
Cat of the Week – ASHER
Age: 6 years
Color: Grey & Tan
Breed: Domestic Shorthair Mix
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $0 (thru 9/19 at 4pm)
“It was on a night just like this one when the woman heard a loud thump and then a chilling scream…” Oh, I just love a scary movie – the kind where you don’t see the plot twist coming until it’s right upon you! Hi there, I’m Asher, and if you like scary movies too – or any movie for that matter – then I’m your boy! I love a human that will sit on the couch with me for 2 whole hours while I nap contentedly on the adjoining cushion. And bonus points if you pop some popcorn. The smell is heavenly! So whaddaya say? Let’s do this! Contact the shelter at 410-836-1090 or [email protected] to set up your appointment to meet me, Asher!
Critter of the Week – MR. PIG PIG
Age: 1 year
Color: Black, White & Orange
Breed: Guinea Pig
Gender: Male
Adoption Fee: $0 (thru 9/19 at 4pm)
Mr. Pig Pig here reporting for WPIG-TV, and I’m here on the scene at the animal shelter. Things are bright and cheery in the small critter room where I’m sitting, but not an empty cage can be seen across the room. A spokesperson here tells me that guinea pigs make wonderful friends and companions and don’t take up any room at all. “There are so many great reasons to be a hero and adopt,” a counselor tells me. “Guinea pigs will learn the sound of your voice and make cute little squeals when you enter the room!” And I’m getting word from the staff at the front desk that adoption fees are waived thru September 19th. Get your appointment to adopt a piggie – call 410-836-1090 or [email protected] – to set up a time. This has been Mr. Pig Pig for WPIG network news.
