Allowing Restaurants to Deliver & Sell Carry-Out Cocktails

Through June, 2023

County Executive Barry Glassman supports today’s decision of the Harford County Liquor Control Board to continue allowing licensed restaurants to deliver and sell carry-out cocktails.

Licensed restaurants will be permitted to sell mixed drinks and cocktails in sealed containers, when purchased with food, through June 30, 2023. During the 2021 session, the Maryland General Assembly passed legislation giving local jurisdictions authority to continue the carry-out and delivery.

“So many businesses in Harford County have been affected by the pandemic, including restaurants,” County Executive Glassman said. “Extending their ability to sell and deliver carry-out alcoholic beverages to their customers will help them get back on their feet.”

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, County Executive Glassman has also supported Harford’s restaurant industry by waiving parking requirements to allow outdoor dining.
