Michelle Karczeski Made History in Harford County

On Tuesday, May 4 2021 Michelle Karczeski held her campaign kick-off at Maryland Golf and Country Clubs where she announced her run for the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Harford County. “Did you know that there has never been a woman elected as the Clerk of Court in Harford County?” Michelle announced to her audience. “In 1937 Mary Risteau was appointed to the office for one year. With your support, we can make history here in Harford County by electing me as the first woman to this position.”

The room was teeming with supporters from all over the county. Stuart Lucas from L&S Properties, introduced Michelle. “I’m here tonight to introduce my friend, a woman of strength and integrity. A life-long resident of Harford County, Michelle Karczeski brings with her over 14 years of experience serving the Maryland Judiciary. Friends, experience matters!”

The kick-off event concluded with a silent auction themed around the constitutional amendments and announcements of Michelle’s upcoming events on June 17 at Hopkins Farm Brewery, Havre de Grace, Maryland from 5:30 to 7:30pm and October 14 at 5 North Main, Bel Air, Maryland from 6-9pm.

About Michelle Karczeski

Michelle L. Karczeski is a candidate for the Clerk of the Harford County Circuit Court in 2022. She will bring with her over 14 years of experience with the Maryland Judiciary.

Michelle is the Owner and President of SETA Consulting, LLC which she founded over 13 years ago in Bel Air. The business is a small woman-owned Maryland-based business providing Project Management, Help Desk and IT Consulting Support Services to the Maryland Courts.

As a contractor, Michelle provides project management and financial systems support to the Administrative Office of the Courts – Department of Judicial Information Systems. Michelle has been engaged in numerous projects statewide to benefit the Maryland Court system and Harford County residents. She has been involved with the Judiciary – Department of Budget and Finance financial system and implemented the revenue collection system in all Maryland District and Circuit Court locations. Other efforts supported included MDEC financials, GEARS financials and the Attorney Information System, she piloted the Jury Management System in the Cecil County Circuit Court and has worked on many other major IT projects.

Michelle is a graduate of Fallston High School, where she was a member of the Women’s State Championship Lacrosse Team. Michelle also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Geography (Cartography and Urban Planning) from Frostburg State University graduating in 1992. She then proceeded to obtain her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in 2007. Michelle is a lifelong resident of Harford County. She has two sons (Matt and Ryan) and resides in Bel Air with her husband Dave of 15 years
