“AHOY…..A Buoy of Hope for those Experiencing Homeless”

Harford Family House hosts spring fundraising and networking event at La Banque de Fleuve to raise awareness for families and individuals experiencing homelessness.

Harford Family House, the largest provider of housing for families and unaccompanied young adults experiencing homelessness in Harford County, plans to host its annual “AHOY….A Buoy of Hope for those Experiencing Homeless” on Wednesday, May 19th from 5-8 p.m. outside, on the water at the beautiful La Banque de Fleuve at the Seaplane Base. The event is designed to provide business professionals a chance to network while also learning about homelessness in Harford County. The theme of this year’s AHOY! event is “The Brady Bunch”. Local community members will dress up as different Brady Bunch family members and participate in crowd-funding to benefit Harford Family House. The cast member who raises the most will be recognized at the May 19th event with an “official” Buoy of Hope.

“AHOY….A Buoy of Hope for those experiencing homelessness is a great event for Harford Family House,” said Harford Family House CEO Robin Tomechko. “We are thrilled to be right in the heart of Havre de Grace and provide our community an opportunity to network and learn more about the homelessness issues facing our county.”

The event is sponsored by La Banque de Fleuve at the Seaplane Base and catering is provided by MacGregor’s Seafood Restaurant. According to Tomechko, the event’s honorary chairs are Pat and Jeannie Vincenti. The Vincenti’s are longtime residents of Harford County, as well as supporters of Harford Family House and the community. They look forward to introducing new friends and acquaintances to a charity that is close to their hearts.

“AHOY….A Buoy of Hope for those Experiencing Homelessness” will feature live music by Sam O’Hare, lavish hors d’oeuvres with a cash bar, the opportunity to bid on auction items and the chance to hob knob with The Bradys. There will even be a signature drink…The Brady Punch made with pineapple, orange, Grenadine, and rum!

All event proceeds will benefit those in our community who are experiencing homelessness and participating in the programs at Harford Family House. Event tickets are $50, VIP tickets are $65, and include one free drink ticket and VIP parking. Please visit http://bit.ly/AhoyTicket to purchase your ticket.
