Harford County government has been nationally recognized for excellence in financial reporting for the 36th consecutive year.

The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded its Certificate of Achievement in Financial Reporting to the administration under County Executive Barry Glassman for its Fiscal Year 2020 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The annual report is required by state and local laws and is an overall assessment of the county’s fiscal performance including revenues, expenses, debt, investment performance and pensions.

“I am proud that despite the challenges of the pandemic, Harford’s financial reporting consistently achieves the highest quality standards,” County Executive Glassman said. “I would like to thank my treasurer, Robbie Sandlass, and his team for completing this year’s report on time and continuing our tradition of excellence.”
