You feel your book project is ready to submit to publishers or agents, but you’re clueless about the submission process and its nuances? A rock-solid book proposal is an important tool in getting published. Learn how to submit, when to submit, and where to submit. Bring your manuscript or book idea in any genre, for personalized instruction on how to build a proposal that stands out from the pile. Throughout the course, you will also learn about how to best showcase your work, the importance of comparable titles, marketing and promotion angles, connecting with your book’s audience, obtaining early endorsements, and more.

“The course material is completely conducive to building book proposals for any demographic whatsoever, not just the children’s market,” Kelly explains. “I was initially supposed to teach this course in an in-person classroom setting at Morgan State University, so the course instruction has been restructured for a distance learning format with SCBWI sponsoring during the current social climate.” At the end of six weeks, each participant will have a full-on proposal worthy of submission to respected literary agencies and book publishers.

Kelly Anne White is a national-level book author and editor. As a professional publishing consultant, Kelly was recently instrumental in placing The Stars in April by Peggy Wirgau (IlluminateYA Fiction) and Where the Briars Sleep by Emma Beaven (Tangled Tree Publishing), both scheduled for release in 2021. Learn more about this course instructor at KellyAnneWhite.com.
