Cat of the Week – LEAH ROSE

Leah Rose: 9 Year-old Female

The Humane Society of Harford County

Age: 9 years

Color: Brown & White Tabby

Breed: Domestic Shorthair Mix

Gender: Female

Adoption Fee: $45

We sat down with Leah Rose over the weekend to get her take on things. We uncovered a saucy lady with cattitude galore, and here’s an excerpt from our no-holds-barred interview:

Likes: sleeping in a sunbeam and snacking, loudly.

Favorite music: 80’s hair bands, especially Poison. “‘Every Rose Has Its Thorn’ and Bret Michaels make me swoon.”

Hopes to one day: catch the little red dot from the laser pointer

Dislikes: belly rubs. “I may show you my belly, but it’s not an invitation. Please stop.”

Catnip?: Socially Relationship status: Single. “But if you think you can handle this pretty rose’s thorns, send an email to or call 410-836-1090 to get the process started.”

Come adopt me please.

Operations Update: Effective at 11am on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 and until further notice, the Humane Society of Harford County will be open to the public only by appointment for adoptions and owner surrenders. These changes are necessary due to Governor Hogan’s stay at home order. The shelter will continue to be staffed by paid employees.
