APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU) opened the doors to its 15th branch on Monday, February 10, 2020. The new branch is located in the Rising Sun Towne Center, located on E. Main St. (Route 273) in Rising Sun, Md.

The Rising Sun Branch is APGFCU’s fifth branch in Cecil County, Md., and provides members and residents who live in the western half of the county with a more convenient location.  The branch features a traditional teller line, as well as private offices for meeting with members.  A walk-up ATM is housed in the vestibule, offering access outside of regular business hours.

The new full-service branch replaces the Rising Sun Loan Center, which opened in 2013 in the Rising Sun Plaza, located directly across the street from the new location.  The loan center was a cashless office, offering in-person loan services six days per week, as well as an ATM with 24/7 access.

“We are very excited to offer a full-service branch to the people in and around Rising Sun,” said Chief Marketing Officer Brian Wilcox.  “We had been searching for the ideal location for quite some time, and we found it.”

An official ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held March 11, with a community “Family Fun Day” celebration to be held later in the spring.

APGFCU is committed to building strong families for a stronger community with locations throughout Harford and Cecil counties. Membership is free and open to everyone who lives, works, worships, volunteers or attends school in Harford or Cecil County. For more information, call 410-272-4000 or visit apgfcu.com.
