Lyle Sheldon FACHE, President & CEO, University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Health to be honored along with fellow honorees at the 9th annual Visionary Awards Ceremony, in the Richlin Ballroom, Edgewood MD,February 27, 2020.

Eleven Marylanders to be honored at the Visionary Awards for building our STEM educated workforce and advancing technology and innovation, to grow our economy and protect national security. This awards ceremony the largest of its kind in Maryland, is now in its 9th year. Attending are industry, government, and education.

“We honor remarkable people who continue to play key roles in areas of STEM education and technology,” said NMTC Board Chair, Claudine Adams, President/Founder, Bravura Information Technology Systems. “These are individuals who selflessly donate their time and talents to make a difference in our community.”

The 2020 Visionary Award honorees are:

Mentor                   Cathy Perkins, Technical Project Manager / Site Lead, U.S. Army Aberdeen Test Center

Mentor                   Davlyn Williams, Technical Project Manager, Data Systems Analysts, Inc

Mentor                   Dr. Timothy Kluchinsky, Chief, Health Hazard Assessment Div., U.S. Army Public Health

Mentor                   Dr. Richard Becker, Research Engineer, U.S. Army Research Lab

Maryland’s economic infrastructure is increasingly driven by emerging and complex technology,” said John Casner, executive director of NMTC. “These individuals understand this technology and share their knowledge to create the workforce for the future.” They will join the prestigious 100 + Academy of Visionary Awards Honorees.
