Red Planks 2 of Harford County 2020 Calendar
Sonipak Design releases their 5th community calendar, Red Planks 2 of Harford County, on November 12 at MaGerk’s Pub & Grill from 6-9pm. This annual Calendar Release Party is open to the public, family-friendly and will feature live music by Sons of Pirates, Swag Bags, sponsored by WXCY, to the first 100 guests and much more. Bring your family and friends and stay for dinner! You may recall Sonipak’s debut calendar in 2016, Red Planks of Harford County, which started it all, capturing the county’s historic barns. In the years that followed, Tides, Trails & Treasures of Harford County focused on the scenic state parks and waterways, Divine History of Harford County, featured some of the county’s most historic places of worship and for 2019, native wild animals graced the months of Wild Things of Harford County. To celebrate the 5th anniversary of this exciting calendar series, Sonipak will be circling back to their inaugural theme once again in Red Planks 2!
Thirteen more historic barns, professionally photographed by Amy Jones, illustrating the agricultural landscape and iconic structures that dot our fields and farms around the county. Amy’s talented eye has captured these historic structures, exposing their amazing beauty for you and your family. This year Sonipak is joined by Visit Harford! to promote the Barn Quilt Trail of Harford County –a perfect match and fusion for county tourism, the love for our agricultural community and history. “The opportunity to create this beautiful annual publication, encouraging families to set out and discover and giving back, is what this is all about!” says Sonipak. Distribution of this FREE calendar around the county and beyond, will begin the week of Thanksgiving. Proceeds from this community calendar will benefit The Historical Society of Harford County. Established in 1885, it’s the oldest
county historical society in Maryland, preserving and cataloging County Court Records dating back to the 17th century. Hosting a Research Library with vast genealogy resources and its archival collection which now includes more than 50,000 photographs, paper records, textiles, artifacts and artwork detailing the story of Harford County.
