#SummerofFreedomFCU Photo Contest Returns to Harford County

Freedom Federal Credit Union has announced the return of the #SummerofFreedomFCU photo contest. The social media contest, now in its second year, calls for participants to incorporate Freedom-branded sunglasses into their summer adventures and post the pictures on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram using a publicly searchable hashtag, #SummerofFreedomFCU. The eight-week contest will accept submissions between June 14th and August 8th. Every Friday, during the contest period, Freedom will post weekly finalists on their Facebook page and ask the public to vote on a winner by “liking” or “loving” their photo of choice. This year, the grand prize has doubled, offering participants the chance to win $1,000 dollars among other weekly incentives. The free sunglasses are available throughout the summer at all five Freedom Federal Credit Union branches in Harford County.

In 2018, the Credit Union’s summer contest received hundreds of photo submissions and featured locations both near and far. Nearly 800 people voted in the contest’s final showdown on Freedom’s Facebook page. The 2018 grand prize winner, Daniel Koncurat, won by just a 22 vote margin with his collage, “Broad Creek Scout Style.” The grand prize vote is scheduled for August 16th, 2019. Complete contest details are available at www.freedomfcu.org/summeroffreedom/.
