The restaurant is celebrating twelve years in business by offering its dining room patrons free smoothies, dessert, a discount off the menu, live entertainment and a chance to win a $100 gift card.
Sizzling Bombay restaurant in Bel Air is celebrating twelve years in business with a customer appreciation day on Friday, June 14. The event will begin with a ribbon cutting attended by members of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce, then offers guests who have lunch or dinner in the restaurant a free smoothie, dessert, and a ten percent discount off their check. In addition, performances by a professional belly dancer will take place throughout the day. Guests can pose with the dancer for pictures and share the image on the restaurant’s Facebook page. The person who posts the picture that earns the most ‘Likes’ will win a $100 Sizzling Bombay gift card. Sizzling Bombay is a family-owned establishment that opened in 2007 with a staff of eight employees, most of whom still work in the business. It was the first restaurant in Harford County to offer authentic Indian cuisine and is known for dishes prepared in the traditional Tandoori style, along with classic items such as hummus, kabobs and fresh baked naan, its clay oven pita bread. The menu also features fusion recipes that combine Indian flavors with spices and ingredients from Chinese and Thai cooking. A kids’ menu, dessert selections and specialty cocktails are available as well.
Mahendra Deshar runs Sizzling Bombay with his wife Yashoda Gurung, and together they oversee all facets of the restaurant. Commenting on the anniversary Deshar says, “We are thrilled to be celebrating our twelfth year as part of the Bel Air restaurant scene, and my family and staff are humbled and grateful to be considered a cornerstone business in Harford County. This event is our way to thank the community for its support, so we look forward to marking this exciting milestone with our customers and friends on Friday, and to many more years of welcoming guests to our tables.”
