Freedom Federal Credit Union Sponsors Homeruns For Healthy Kids, In Partnership With The Aberdeen Ironbirds To Benefit MedStar Pediatrics In Bel Air
Freedom Federal Credit Union announced a new sponsorship today in partnership with the Aberdeen Ironbirds. Homeruns for Healthy Kids began with the start of the Ironbirds season on June 15. With Homeruns for Healthy Kids, for every IronBirds player that hits a homerun during the season, Freedom Federal Credit Union will donate $100 to benefit services for children at the MedStar Health Bel Air Medical Campus.
Homeruns for Healthy Kids will run through the end of the regular Ironbirds season, when a check will be presented to MedStar Health in one of the final games.
“Freedom has always been about ‘people helping people’,” stated Freedom’s President and CEO Mike MacPherson. “We are thrilled to partner in this program with two great Harford County institutions to offer support to Harford County youth battling critical and chronic illness”.

With Homeruns for Healthy Kids, Freedom builds on the existing partnership already established with MedStar Health. To date, Freedom has donated more than $30,000 to MedStar Health to support initiatives benefitting pediatrics and neurological rehabilitation services for children in Bel Air.
