Rural Maryland Day in Annapolis … Governor Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. proclaims February 8 Rural Maryland Day. The governor’s appearance capped off a legislative advocacy day with more than 100 rural constituents visiting with 46 members of the Maryland General Assembly to discuss rural economic development initiatives and continued funding support for the Rural Maryland Prosperity Investment Fund (RMPIF). Rural Maryland Day also included a joint lunch with the Rural Maryland Council (RMC) and the Maryland Association Soil Conservation Districts (MASCD).
