NVS at New York Fashion Week 2018, February 8 until February 16

 

New York Fashion Week is one of four major fashion weeks in the world, collectively known as the “Big 4,” along with those in Paris, London and Milan. The top hair designers from NVS Merle Norman in Bel Air were invited back for their second year to style hair for the most exciting, week long fashion show in New York City. This event is full of worldwide top designers, celebrities, editors, models, makeup artists and hairstylists. The New York Fashion Week BACKSTAGE pass is the hardest pass in the industry to get. Getting tickets for the industry shows is difficult unless you are a buyer or work in press.

 

Among the international designers the NVS crew styled hair for are A Detacher, Eugenia Kim, Concept Korea featuring LIE by Chung Chung Lee and Greedilous by Younhee Park runway shows.

 

Eugenia Kim was celebrating 20 Years of Making Hats for Beyonce, Ben Stiller, Madonna and more.

 

Watching the shows were notables that included Ty Hunter (Beyonce’s stylist), Shaun Ross (the first male albino pro model), June Ambrose (fashion designer and stylists to stars such as: Missy Elliott, Busta Rhymes, Will Smith, Alicia Keys and more), Claire Sulmers (Editor and Founder of The Fashion Bomb blog), Miss Jay Alexander (American reality TV personality and runway coach best known for his work on American’s Next Top Model), Housewives of NJ, and Victoria Beckham.

 

Other huge celebrities attending the New York Fashion Week were Selina Gomez, Anna Wintour, Cardi B, Gigi Hadid, Kendall Jenner and much, much more!

 

The stylists who headed to New York were owner Tammy Ehrbaker, and hair stylists Carole Golley, Becca Conte, and Erin Thompson.

 

NVS Salon is known for their work with the Baltimore Ravens Cheerleaders and has been honored as a Top 200 Salon in the Country by Salon Today Magazine, honored as a Top 100 small business in the country by the United States Chamber of Commerce, and named Harford’s Most Beautiful People by the Harford County government.
