President and Owner of Richlin Ballroom & Catering Steven Vitali announced that Mark Dardozzi has joined the established company as co-owner and vice president. “We’re very excited to have Mark join our team,” said Vitali.  “He brings an appreciation of business networking, an incredible depth of regional connections and a love of events that will serve him and us well in his new role.”

Dardozzi will be responsible for marketing and business development for the events center and catering service as well as managing vendor negotiations and calendar optimization. “I was looking for an opportunity to help contribute to the business community while creating something I could also call my own,” explains Dardozzi. “By buying into Richlin, I can utilize my professional resources to help rekindle this local favoritein Harford County and introduce new companies and event planners to its appeal.”

Dardozzi is well known in the region as the guy “who knows a guy.” After retiring from Bethlehem Steel in 1997, Dardozzi led the sales and business development efforts for Symmetry Wellness Center, part of Equinox International. “I got some of the best sales training ever created in that position,” Dardozzi remembers. After the economic shake-up following the terror attacks on 9/11, he closed that venture and began advising residential and commercial clients on water treatment options through RainSoft. Seeing the benefit of networking groups for business, Dardozzi was participating in seven separate groups when he decided to throw a party nine years ago thanking all the group members and introducing them to each other. Magnificent 7 (www.mag7event.com) was born and gets bigger and better every year. Always free to attend, this year’s Mag 7 event will be November 9th from 5-8pm at Richlin.

Leaving RainSoft for Elegant Restoration, Dardozzi led their business development efforts for four years before resigning in August to pursue this new opportunity.

In addition to his extensive sales and business development background, Dardozzi is also very active supporting the local non-profit and Italian communities through his charitable work. He is a board director for the Harford County Chamber of Commerce and the Appian Society celebrating Italian heritage. He is the current secretary of the Associated Italian American Charities of MD, and, three years ago with Elio Scaccio, he founded and is the current president of the Society of Italian American Businessmen (SIAB) in Harford County. To date, SIAB has donated over $100,000 to local Harford County non-profits.

Richlin Ballroom is one of the largest venues in the county providing comprehensive event services onsite in its beautifully chandeliered ballroom or offsite wherever you may need them. For more information, contact Mark Dardozzi at mark@richlincatering.com or 410-207-8060.
